Coroplast the Company, started making the first generation of COROPLAST printable materials during the mid 1970s in Quebec Canada. Since that time, they have grown with construction and acquisition of plastics plants and research facilities in the US.

Their highest selling product for the printing industry is a second generation product called Coroplast Smooth. It is a polypropylene copolymer co-extruded twin-wall fluted sheet electronically treated to accept and retain certain formulations of ink for printing. The material is extremely lightweight, durable and economical. The material is water and stain resistant and lasts in harsh outdoor conditions for years if properly taken care of.

In the print industry, Coroplast products have been successfully used for over thirty years in printing applications including: Point of Purchase Displays, indoor graphic displays, outdoor retail signs, real estate signs, campaign signs, bus signage, special event advertising and trade displays.
